Rumour mill, scuttle butt says that Phoenix team are briefing the White House on something… Stay tuned, I dont care of making a fool of myself ;p

Shad, Panda, wanna bet a lazy $50 AUD on them finding evidence of life on Mars? =p
I only really make bets im sure I can win… ;)
Been following the advances of the phoenix mission over the duration loosely.. But I will say that, there has been a slower flow of information back to us then we should be getting.. No, I don’t mean bandwidth.
Slower then expected “release” of results I could say, and we’re usually pretty patient in this business hehe..
Your thoughts fellas? Share!
Keep your eyes and ears and minds open =p

Martian mind probe is much less painful that way…. >=\
Peace.
Hashy- Waiting Patiently…

I'll take you up on that
$50 that the Phoenix team will not discover life on Mars, larger or of equivalent size to that of an amoeba.
There is no reason to get excited if they find a single cell organism.
Excitement...
If that Amoeba can be proved to be of martian origin, and completely disconnected from the origins of life on Earth then I think that’s a reason to get excited.
Think of the implications for religion, philosophy, evolutionary theory etc. etc. etc.
Life on Earth could not be called a “fluke”, therefore life on all other planets and solar systems stops becoming a possibility and becomes a likelyhood.
Yeah getting my hopes too
Yeah getting my hopes too high, as usual.
The current rumours are of, martian scats.. what bullsh!t huh? ;)
Currently RIGHT NOW tho its, they have possibly found some “detrimental” component in the soil.. basically something that wouldn’t be positive for the formation of life.

Stay Tuned..
Still doesn’t change a thing really, some kind of silly pendulum effect.. Gravitate, man!!
Better chances of finding an
Better chances of finding an amoeba like lifeform in old martian sedimentary rocks.. Even then you might have to slice thru tonnes of rock to find anything.
Still an oxidizing substance isnt too much of a worry.. If it were, your blood would rust, then you would be very very sick. =p
I would be excited over a single cell, I wouldn’t be surprised with the news of oxidants on Mars. The vast plains of rusted red soil kinda give that away already.. ;)
Total Recall
I think it’s time to C Total Recall again….

Lovely perchlorate, mmm yeah thats lovely =D
Lots of air in the atmosphere yeah, and some how the pressure comes to roughly 14.7 psi so everybodies eyes dont explode.

Not good, not bad, hehe… As not all lifeforms on Earth, are “allergic” to certain chemicals or are harmed by them.. While others the same chemicals are instantly deadly.
Not much can eat a cane toad, fuch all of anything in Australia can stomach them, which is why they become such a problem.. But I guarantee you that out there is another animal that Cane Toad are a delicious treat for.
The trees wood that has been used to build many of the furniture around you, come from the trees that ARENT poisonous ;p
Most of the time anyway hehe..
I'll take the winnings in cash, thanks.
Mate, I think your drawing a long bow on this one.
Can we put a time frame around how long we are giving this mission to come up with the required evidence. That way I can count down ;-)
How about 3 weeks from Today?
